Issue Detection for Multiple Environments

You can now enable Hud issue detection for any environment running Hud. Configure detection rules and alert routing independently per environment, so production stays focused and staging stays flexible.

What's New

• Slack channels per environment - Route alerts from each environment to a different Slack channel. Production alerts stay in your critical channel, staging alerts go somewhere else (or nowhere).
• Rule configuration per environment - Enable, disable, and tune rule thresholds independently per environment. Your prod SLO doesn't have to match your staging SLO.
• Environment selector on Settings & Rules pages - Use the same environment picker used across the app to choose to view and edit configurations for that environment.

Why It Matters Mixed-environment alerts create noise and make it easy to miss real production issues. Different environments have different baselines, so a threshold that makes sense in prod may fire constantly in staging. Now you control both alert routing and detection sensitivity per environment.

How to Use Go to Settings > Slack Integration and select an environment to configure its alert channel. Then visit any rule page and use the environment selector to tune thresholds per environment.
